Catherine Simonson

Catherine "Rena" Simonson passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Silver Lake Nursing Home. She was 96. Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Cammarota, she resided in South Philadelphia for most of her life. Catherine was an accomplished seamstress and also worked as a check-in clerk at Philadelphia Airport. She loved animals and visiting Italy. She also enjoyed the opera, the ballet, and visiting the museums in Philadelphia. She was proud to be able to speak both Italian and French.

She is survived by her loving brother, Arthur Cammarota. She will also be sadly missed by her niece, Mary Elentrio and her husband, Bill, and her great-niece, Sharon Light and her husband, Chris, and their children Christopher and Luca, and her great-niece Nicole Cohn and her husband, Jeff, and their son, Cameron.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe St, Bristol Borough. Interment, private. Friends may call 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bucks County SPCA, 1665 Street Rd, New Hope, PA 18938.
