Barbara A. Kropa passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Holy Redeemer Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 80. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Russell and Theresa (nee Schwenk) Buntz, she has been a Langhorne resident for the past 50 years. She along with her late husband, Edward, were the owners of Northern Fire Protection Associates, Inc. Barbara loved to play the slots, enjoyed hosting all the holidays at her home especially Christmas, throwing pool parties in the Summer but most especially cherished the time spent with her family. Barbara was the most kind, generous and caring person you’d ever met. She had a way of making all who entered her home as comfortable as if they were family. We were all very blessed to have been part of her life and we will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Edward A. Kropa and is survived by her children, Laura Lewandowski (Dave), Kim Rakita (Art, Jr.) and David Edward Kropa (Mayra), her grandchildren, Christopher Lewandowski (Lynn-Ann Carsia), Justin Lewandowski (Sabrina Keys), Brittany Martinez (Joel), Jennifer Roach (Ian), John Rakita, Nicole Kropa (James Carlson), Brianna Kropa, Dayanna Valentin and Paola Gonzalez (Jose) and her great-grandchildren, Forest, Ashton, Marielys, Annabel and JJ. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Joyce Ludka (Robert), Helene McQuillan (Tom), Dawn Dommes (Lou), Rosalind Krueger (John) and 1 brother, Russell Buntz, Jr. (Donna), many nieces and nephews, and her 2 dogs, who she loved very much, Ace and Rudy.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 11:00AM until the time of her Memorial Service at 12:30pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's name can be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia at www.chop.edu , in memory of her great niece, Cela Sewatsky.
