Anthony “Tony” Joseph Tisone, Sr.
Anthony “Tony” Joseph Tisone Sr, 76, passed away, Saturday, March 13, 2021, at his home. Tony was born October 13, 1944 in Bristol, PA to Peter and Carmella (DeLisa) Tisone. He graduated from Delhaas High School in 1962. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was a gunner in the 179th Assault Support Helicopter Company. Tony was retired, but continued to stay active by volunteering his time with various organizations. He was previously employed at American Can in Fairless Hills, PA and ACS in Princeton, NJ. He took over the Tullytown Lanes Junior Bowling League in the early 1980’s. He took this 6 lane bowling center and Junior League Program to national standards. During his retirement he enjoyed working in his garden, around the house and in his “Pop Pop’s Workshop”. He also enjoyed decorating and baking for Christmas. The planning for his inflatables would start early fall. Each year he would try to outdo the previous year. He was always willing to help others when needed. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by many, especially for his “tell-it-like-he-saw-it” attitude.
Tony is survived by his wife of 52 years, Florence (Longo) Tisone; daughters, Rochelle “Rocky” (Tisone) Long and Claudia (Petito) Barnada (Steven), son, Anthony Tisone Jr; five grandchildren, Kaeden Long, Kaitlyn (Long) Helm (Dalen), Jason Barnada, Samantha Barnada, and Nicole Barnada; one great-grandson, Dawson Cole Helm; and numerous family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Carmella Tisone.
Interment will be private under the direction of the Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, and to honor Tony, it is the request of the family that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans, at dav.org, in his name.
