Anita Louise Harrell

February 15, 1941 - September 10, 2024

Mrs. Anita Louise Harrell was born on February 15, 1941. She was the eldest daughter of Louise and Leon Palmer Sr. She and her four siblings were raised in Newport, Rhode Island.

Everyone who knew Anita in her youth, knew her to be lovely inside and out. As a Newport hometown girl, she was introduced to a young sailor man by the name of Little Luke, aka Kyspree, aka Harrell. They fell in love, married, and rented an apartment in Philadelphia, Pa for a brief time prior to buying their home in Bristol, Pa.

It was in Bristol that Anita got a knock on the door, it was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. One of the first things that impressed her was learning that God had a name and his name is Jehovah. Anita loved to share that name as well as his wonderful promises of a paradise earth. She and her husband Harrell became baptized at an assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1968. Despite progressive health issues, Anita always loved Jehovah and assisted individuals in coming to a knowledge of Jehovah.

Anita loved the Motown Sound and she and Harrell loved to dance; first at the Rec in Rhode Island and later at the many wedding receptions to which they were invited. In her younger years, Anita also loved to play badminton, draw, and write. She was an avid reader of current events. She had tons of friends. Prior to becoming ill, she regularly assisted those in need in the congregation.

Anita and Kyspree raised three children, Lamont, Kathy, and Daniel. Anita is survived by her husband, Kyspree Harrell; her three children; two sisters, Geraldine Silva (husband Richard) and Renee Hill (husband Al); and brother Murray Williams; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Leon Palmer Jr.

Funeral Services will be held privately under the direction of the Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
