Andrew Thomas Hardy, Sr.

Andrew T. Hardy, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Bristol Borough, Pa, on Monday morning, July 10, 2023.  He was 62 years old.

Born on October 18, 1960, Andrew was the son of the late William R. and Elizabeth N. Hardy (nee Brown).  He graduated from Bristol High School, Class of 1978, and attended nursing school in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.  After his first year in Williamsport, Andrew decided to return home and worked as a laborer in the construction field for several years and was also employed as a sales representative of heavy lift equipment.  In later years, he was a stay at home dad, taking care of his grandchildren when needed, and was a caretaker for his beloved sister-in-law Mary.

Andrew, more affectionately known as “Andy”, will be remembered as a generous and caring person who loved celebrating life with his family and friends, fishing and crabbing at the Jersey shore,  preparing his famous macaroni and cheese casserole, and being a jokester and prankster.

Andy is survived by his best friend and wife of 41 years, Elizabeth Ann (nee Wagner), sons Andrew Hardy, Jr. and Charles R. Hardy, his sister-in-law Mary Wagner, his grandchildren, Julianna and Charles Hardy, Jr., his dog Max, and his three sisters, Barbara J. Deal (Ronald), Bettie Ann Rarrick (Robert), and Patricia E. Ramirez.  He is also survived by his uncle Maurice Hardy (Dottie), his aunts, Doris Fleetwood (Ron) and Joyce Hughes, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and friends Helene and Steve Zinelli.

He was predeceased by his brother William R. Hardy, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday morning, July 18, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 noon at the Funeral Home.  Interment will be held privately.
