John A. Vella

John A. Vella passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at The Brunswick at Attleboro.  He was 91.  Born and raised in New York City, he resided in Brooklyn for 20 years and has been a Levittown resident since 1973.  Mr. Vella was a veteran of the US Coast Guard serving in WWII.  He was employed as a Railroad Conductor, working for many railroads throughout his career and retired from New Jersey Transit.  Mr. Vella enjoyed his job as a conductor and was loved and respected by the many people who rode his trains.  He enjoyed flea marketing but most especially loved spending time with his family.
Husband of the late Louise Asaro Vella, he is survived by his children, Edward Vella and his wife, Karen, John Vella and his wife, LouAnn, and Lisa Adams and her husband, Robert.  Also survived by his grandchildren, Jason Vella, John Vella (Jennifer), Tracy Fallgren, Thomas Adams and Nicholas Adams and his 2 great-grandchildren, Domenico and Zoe.  Mr. Vella was also predeceased by 2 grandsons, Matthew Vella and Mark Vella and 1 sister, Angelina Pumilia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, June 1, 2018, 10:00am until 12 Noon at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.  Interment, Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association, at ALZ.ORG/DELVAL
