William (Bill) Minster, passed away peacefully into the Lord’s care on Monday, March 28, 2016. He was 87-years young. Born in Philadelphia, he was the loving son of the late Reinard and Mary Minster.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Brown) Minster, his stepson Raymond Cieply, and his brothers and sisters, Reinard Jr., Francis, Florence, Maime, Joe, and Alberta. Bill is survived by his wife Marilyn, and children Gary (Susan), Colleen Sherno (Michael), stepson Michael Cieply (Dawn), his unofficial, adopted son Bob Ridge (Jackie), 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his younger brother Paul and his wife Hilda and many nieces and nephews. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bill prided himself in his career as a professional truck driver for over 40-years until his retirement from Stone Container, Phila. Pa. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed his fishing trips with his brother Paul, his son Gary, and his buddy Chase. Bill was known for his stories and joke telling, but mostly enjoyed riding in his pickup, which was his pride and joy. It was Bill’s wish not to have a service, but rather for those who knew and loved him to enjoy the day instead, doing your favorite thing with loved ones. If you would like to keep Bill’s memory alive, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
