William E. Holden

William E. Holden passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015. He was 84. Born in Bristol Borough, son of the late Thomas and Grace Harkins Holden, he was raised in Bristol Borough, lived in Levittown for 42 years, returning to Bristol 15 years ago. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Germany. Mr. Holden began his employment at Riley Stoker and retired as a master welder after 25 years of service at U.S. Steel. He was a member of the U.S. Steel Golf League.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce (nee Pray) Holden, his children, Billy Holden, Jacklyn Crines, Sheila Bainbridge and her husband, Glenn, Valoree Maria, Kelly Esterline and her husband, James and Tracy McLaughlin and her husband, Michael. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Grace Urick, 3 sisters-in-law, Geraldine Facchiano, Karen Pray, and Jerry Holden along with many nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Murphee. He was predeceased by his siblings, Peggy Gersch, Joan Tusciano, Betty Ann Holden, Thomas Holden, John Holden (killed in action) and Walter Holden.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday, October 2. 2015, 11:00am at St. Mark Church. Interment, private. Friends may call 9-10:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcilffe Street, Bristol, Pa 19007.
