Virginia McCormick passed away on February 17, 2017, after 90 glorious years, to join her Heavenly Father. Ginny was raised in Hulmeville with her parents, Louis and Elizabeth Goll. She was preceded in death by her sister, Bettylou Hunsberger, her brother, Ted Goll and her grandson, Todd Goldy. Ginny was the wife of her adored late husband, Frank J. McCormick, for 52 years. They moved to Levittown in 1952 and their lives were blessed with 4 children. Pat Goldy (Nicholas Lalli) of Bristol, Debby and John Hines of Churchville, Pa., Kevin and Kathy McCormick of Levittown and Mark and Patty McCormick of Morrisville. They had 8 cherished grandchildren; Tanya, Todd, Christina, Melissa, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Patrick and Kasey and 8 precious great-grandchildren; Callee, Jocelyn, McKenzie, Chloe, Eddie Lee, Carson, Taylor and Tanner and her very special longtime friends; Cass, Gladys, and Eleanor.
Ginny retired after 25 years from Lower Bucks Hospital as an RN in the nursery. After retirement, Ginny and Frank spent their winters in Clearwater, Fla. She enjoyed volunteer work and was busy at the Clearwater Hospital, St. Francis De Paul Thrift Shop and "Adopt a Grandchild" program in Florida. In Levittown, she was active at the Emilie United Methodist Thrift Shop, VITA, teaching people to read and the Emergency Relief Association Food Bank. She had a wonderful life and appreciated every day. Thank you God. The family wishes to thank Abington Home Care Hospital and Inpatient Doctor and Nurses for the exceptional compassion, and competent care that they provided to their mother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, February 24, 2017, 11:00am at Emilie United Methodist Church 7300 New Falls Road, Levittown, Pa 19055, where friends may call from 10:00am until time of service. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Emergency Relief Association Food Bank, 1700 Woodbourne Rd., Levittown, Pa 19057. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
