Sydney Rigby passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center. Born in Bristol, son of the late Sydney and Helen Rigby, he has been a Bensalem resident for the past 32 years. Mr. Rigby was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was employed as a bartender working at Jim Breen's Restaurant in Feasterville, The Watering Hole in Holland and John's Café in Trevose. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, and enjoyed having a good time, especially with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Coyle Rigby, his daughter, Michelle Sapp and her husband, Stephen, and his 2 grandchildren, Sydnee and Mackenzie Sapp. He is also survived by 1 brother, Robert Rigby and his wife, Neoma, 2 sisters, Joann Kohler and Jean Riordan along with many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rigby was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Helen Lahr and Kathleen Cumberbatch.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Gathering on Tuesday evening, March 20, 2018, from 6-8:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment at Washing Crossing National Cemetery will be held privately.
