Ruth A. Murray

Ruth A. Murray passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 93. Born in Falls Creek, Pa., daughter of the late Lawrence and Catherine Gelnet, she has been a Bristol Borough resident for over 74 years. She retired after 20 years of service from Jones New York and prior to that was employed at Rohm & Haas, Bristol. Mrs. Murray was an avid lifelong Phillies fan, enjoyed reading and doing ceramics and was a member of the Teamsters Local 102 and the Bristol Seniors Center.

Wife of the late Francis J. Murray, she is survived by her 4 sons; Edward Murray, John Murray, James Murray and his wife, Patricia and Kevin Murray, 3 grandchildren, Jackie Ann Stevens (Gregory), Jamie L. Murray (Ryan), and James F. Murray (Brianna), 4 great-grandchildren; Gregory K. and Michael J. Stevens, Chase F. Murray and Jaxson A. Phillips, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 sisters and 1 brother. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Langbein, her nurse, Erica Phillips and her aide, Stephanie Boltersdorf for the wonderful care that they provided their mother and to Helen Younglove who brought Ruth the Eucharist every week.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 18, 2017, 11:00am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call 9:30-10:45am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mark Church or an act of kindness to another would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
