Ronald Bogden

Surrounded by family and friends, Ron Bogden passed away on July 2, 2015at his Levittown home. A Leo’s Leo, a musician’s musician and a sailor’s sailor, Ron’s life was an illustration of seeking adventure, a study in following dreams and a testament to the magic of pursuing passions.

Born in Shenandoah, Pa. and raised in Philadelphia, Ron discovered music at an early age. From once being the youngest mummer ever to strut down Broad Street to performing on some of the most-iconic rock and R&Brecords, music proved to be the inspiration that would shape much of his life.

And while performing, either live or in studio, certainly tells much of his story, Ron also worked for the New Jersey Education Association for 28 years. Hisappetite for life also drew him to sailing. Whether it was the thrill of the wind in his sails or the eager anticipation of what the next horizon might hold, Ron’s communion with the waterwas a source of simple pleasures.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sandy; his two stepsons, Justin and Chris; his sister, Gloria; and three nephews, Dennis, Tommy and Joey; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Edith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ron’s memorial service on Saturday, September 19 at 2:00 pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street in Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron’s name to the Playing for Change Foundation or the Ocean Conservancy.
