Richard Lopes passed away suddenly at his home in Fairless Hills on Monday, January 1, 2018. He was 60. Born in Pennsylvania, he was an area resident his entire life, residing in Fairless Hills for the past 29 years. Rick was employed as a Chemical Operator at Dow Chemical (formerly Rohm & Haas) for 37 years, where he also served as President of the Union, Local 88. In his younger years, Rick played all types of sports and was a champion weight lifter. He was an avid bowler, rolling numerous 300 games and enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles and spending time at his home in North Wildwood. Rick will be remembered as a true family man, who was loved by all.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Karen Lopes, his children, Tiffany Lopes, Krista Lopes and Ricky Lopes. Also survived by his parents, Raymond Lopes (Dorothy) and his grand-daughter, Bailey along with several siblings, and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, January 6, 2018, 12Noon at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
