Nicholas D. Paulus

Nicholas D. Paulus "Nick" entered eternal life on December 9, 2014 at Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester, Pa. Born and raised in Nanticoke, Pa he was a resident of Edgely, Pa for 55 years. Nick was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a military policeman, stationed in Germany, during the Korean War. He worked in the newspaper business his entire life. For 17 years he worked at the Bucks County Courier Times and then after 27 years retired as Supervisor of the Press Room at the Daily Racing Form. Later he was a part-time consultant for MacDermid Inc.. He enjoyed the men he worked with and always referred to them as "my guys". Nick enjoyed time with his family at many holiday, vacation and shore gatherings. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and amazing Pop Pop and will be sadly missed.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dolores (Niznik) Paulus, his parents, former Mayor John Paulus and wife, Suzanne of Nanticoke, Pa, sisters, Suzanne, Eleanor, Irene, and his brother, John. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Linda Elmer and her husband, Jeff of West Chester, Pa and Lisa Bachik and her husband, Bob of Hamilton, NJ. He was Pop Pop to his 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jeffrey and Caroline Elmer, who were the love of his life. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, 10:00am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. Friends may call Monday evening 7-9:00pm and Tuesday morning 8:30-9:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 795 East Marshall Street, West Chester, Pa 19380.
