Mary Mazzocchi died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 19, 2015, surrounded by the family she loved and cared for most of her life. Born in Passaic, NJ, she moved to Tullytown, Pa, as a teenager, where she met her husband of 54 years, Bernard Mazzocchi Jr. There they raised their family in the same home she grew up in. She loved sewing and crocheting for everyone in her family, traveling, going to Atlantic City and camping at Baker Acres in NJ, but her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She was active in her small community, volunteering for the Tullytown Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Sacred Heart Sodality, Italian Mutual Aid, 5th Ward, St. Ann's Church, Golden Marks and Bristol Borough Senior Activity Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Dorusak, her husband, Bernard Mazzocchi Jr and her siblings; Helen, Anna, Julie, Tommy and George and 1 great-grandson. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Sutor of Bristol, where she lived the last years of her life, Donna Zuczek and her husband, John, of Bristol and her son, Bernard Mazzocchi III, also of Bristol, 10 grandchildren, Kimberly, John, Jennifer, Jill, Nicholas, Brian, Briana, Bernie, Brett, and Brandon and their spouses, 17 great-grandchildren along with several niece and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, 10:00am at St. Ann Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, Tullytown Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening 6-9:00pm and Tuesday morning 8:30-9:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimers Association.
