Marie G. English

Marie G. English passed away on Friday, August 3rd at Holy Redeemer Hospice. She was 88. Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Gillespie) Leary. She was a resident of Penndel for almost 60 years. Mrs. English was employed as a manager for the IRS, retiring after 40 years. She was a graduate of Little Flower High School and belonged to the sorority "I Tap a Keg". Marie loved music, dancing, and singing, and will be remembered for the many swimming pool and basement parties around the bar. 

Wife of the late Joseph English, she is survived by her children, Joseph English, Gary English (Tanya), Dennis McGuigan, Thomas Mellon, Geri English-McClure, and Lorie Huett (Edward). Also survived by her grandchildren, Geri, Kelly, Stephanie, April, Christie, Jerad, Katie, Eddie, Julia, and Lindsey, 15 great grandchildren, two brothers, Lawrence Leary (Jeanette) and James Leary (Rose), along with many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Edward, Timothy, and Gerard Leary and one sister Theresa Leary. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Coleen McCann, Director of Hospice at Holy Redeemer Hospital and Hospice Nurses, Lisa Crossland, Palliative Care Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital and the care provided by Symphony Manor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday, August 11th, 12 noon at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe St, Bristol Borough. Interment private. Friends may call from 10am until time of service.
