Maria Catherine Gervasio

Maria Catherine Gervasio passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 23. Maria was born in Bristol Township and resided in Edgely her entire life. She graduated from St. Ann's School, where she played CYO Basketball and Soccer, was a 2009 graduate of Conwell-Egan High School, where she played on the Tennis team and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Scranton and recently received her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. She was currently employed as a student intern in the Occupational Therapy department at Abington Memorial Hospital. Maria was an accomplished artist, enjoyed poetry and writing, doing crafts, loved Italian traditions, especially cooking and baking and loved going to the shore. She was very athletic and recently participated in the Tough Mudder 12 mile race.

Maria will be sadly missed by her beloved parents, Alex and Karen (McKeown) Gervasio and her loving brothers, Carmen and Alex. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Ann Marie Colvard and paternal grandmother, Rosalie C. Gervasio, her boyfriend, Joseph Dougherty, many aunts, uncles, cousins and her dog, Lenni.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 11, 2014, 11:00am at St. Ann Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening 6-9:00pm and Thursday morning 9-10:15am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
