Lydia K. Reckus

Lydia K. Reckus passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, surrounded by her loving family. She was 87. Born in Marian, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry and Lydia Ellen Kinney, she was an original Levittown homeowner. Mrs. Reckus was a Secondary School teacher but was mostly dedicated to raising her children.

Predeceased by her husband of 55 years, John F. Reckus, Sr. on July 18, 2006 and her son, Joseph Reckus, she is survived by 5 daughers; Lydia Anne Byrne and her husband, John, Mary Ellen Mate and her husband, Richard, Katheryn Marie Timko and her husband, John, Margaret Reckus and Janet Alexis Fiatoa and her husband, Mark, 2 sons; John Francis Reckus, Jr. and his wife, Alice and Thomas Joseph Reckus. She will be sadly missed by her 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also precedeased by 2 sisters; Margaret Osborne and Natalie Moore and 1 brother, William Kinney.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, 10:00am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, Pa 19054. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call 8:30-9:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Michael the Archangel Church, at the above address.
