Joseph F. Andrescavage

Joseph F. Andrescavage of West Bristol died peacefully at home Friday November 11. He was 89.

Born in New Philadelphia, PA, he is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Catherine Andrescavage (Taffe) and his devoted children Joseph Andrescavage Jr. and his wife Denise, Daniel Andrescavage and his wife Debra and Karen Jahoda and her husband John. He was also the grandfather to four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


Joe proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired after more than 30 years at General Motors in West Trenton, NJ, from the engineering department.


Joe was an avid fisherman and owned a boat on the Jersey shore for many years. He also loved painting and woodcarving. He also enjoyed cooking and was the chef for weekly family dinners and holidays, all of which were special times.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 16 at Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe St., Bristol, PA. Private interment will follow in the Bristol Cemetery, Bristol, PA.
