Inez Parr

Inez Parr of Levittown PA died July 16, 2016 at home after a brief bout with melanoma. She was preceded in death by parents Ralph E. Mager and Harriet Bloch Mager, stepbrother Ralph E. Mager Jr. and his wife Anne all of Allentown PA, and sister-in-law Shirley Mager of Levittown PA. Her husband of 63 years Kenneth W. Parr survives her. She is also survived by sister Barbara Lovett of Worton MD and brothers Fred Mager and wife Dolly of Cape Coral FL, Richard Mager of Levittown, and Daniel Mager and wife Elizabeth of York PA.

Born in 1926 in Allentown PA, Inez moved with her family to Bristol in 1941 and graduated from Bristol High School in 1945 after taking a year off to help the war effort working at Kaiser-Fleetwings in Bristol. After graduation she attended secretarial school in Philadelphia becoming adept at Gregg shorthand and typing. She worked as a receptionist for the medical practice of Drs. Giordano and Vassalluzzo of Bristol and Feasterville, at Feasterville Psychiatric Associates, and as secretary at Blue Dot Auto Parts Manufacturing in Fallsington before joining Amtrak as a reservationist in 1980. Upon her retirement from Amtrak in 1991 she volunteered at the Lower Bucks County Library Levittown branch and was a regular at the Lower Bucks YMCA gym. Inez will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, friends and colleagues for her vivaciousness, straightforward attitude and generosity.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a Service at 11:00am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe St. Bristol PA. Donations may be made in her name to The Bucks County Free Library, 7311 New Falls Rd. Levittown PA 19055.
