Harry J. McGuckin, Sr.

Harry J. McGuckin, Sr. passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 80. Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Harry and Cecilia Cieslinski McGuckin, he has been a resident of Bristol and Croydon most of his life. Mr. McGuckin was employed as a Business Agent for the Philadelphia Carpenters Union Local 1462, retiring after many years of service. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Croydon, an active member of the Men of Malvern, and The Seasoned Travelers. Mr. McGuckin loved to camp and was instrumental working with the Carpenters Union to help restore the Delaware Canal Lagoon in Bristol Borough. He most especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, June E. Heath McGuckin, and his son, Harry J. McGuckin, he is survived by his daughter, Sandy J. Okumu and her husband, Billy, and 3 grandchildren; Robert, Daniel and Caprice McGuckin. He is also survived by 1 brother, Ronald McGuckin and 1 sister, Ruth Ann Losco . He was also predeceased by 1 brother, Robert McGuckin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, November 12, 2016, 10:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, private.
