Gwendolyn Phillips Hooper

Gwendolyn Phillips Hooper passed away peacefully in her sleep October 29th, 2018 in Bucks County, PA. She was 92 years old. Daughter of the late Albert Phillips and Anna Kopcho Phillips, she was born and grew up in Old Forge, PA and attended Taylor High School. After meeting and marrying her husband, George J. Hooper, she settled, and raised a family, first in North Branford and later in Guilford, CT. She worked as the payroll manager at United Nuclear Corp. Gwen enjoyed spending weekends with her family and friends, camping regionally and then,in retirement, nationally visiting state and national parks across the country. Upon retiring, she and George moved to Palm Coast, FL.

She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn Hooper Powell, grandchildren, Donald Powell Jr. (Lindsay) and Sharon Powell (Onkar Singh), great grandchild, Finley M. Powell, and many close nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, George J. Hooper, and son, William E. Hooper. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 11:00 am followed by her Memorial Service at 12:30 pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
