Gladys J. Kubasik

Gladys J. Kubasik died on Saturday, August 01, 2015 at Legacy Gardens in Bristol, PA after a lengthy illness. She was 82.
Born and raised in Clarkesville (Pitt Gas), PA, Gladys was the daughter of the late Samuel and Leona Baer.

She graduated from Jefferson-Morgan High School and moved to Levittown with her late husband, John A Kubasik, Sr in 1963. Gladys and John were married for 47 years until his death in 2003. After her children were grown, Gladys was self-employed in a home cleaning business and then was a housekeeper in the rectory of St. Joseph the Worker Church. Gladys was an active parishioner at St. Joseph the Worker Church for over 40 years.

Gladys found great joy as a mother and grandmother. She took exceptional care of her grandson, John Anthony Kubasik III, who passed away in 1998.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Techtmann, her son and his wife, John and Ellen Kubasik, her grandchildren, Lisa Techtmann Negri (Rick), Jenna Techtmann and Matthew Kubasik. Gladys was one of 10 children. Her surviving siblings are Eleanor Vuicich, Charleston, SC, Jean Mysza, Parma Hgts, OH, Shirley (John) Coss, Waynesburg, PA, Patty (Jay) Snincak, Fort Mills, SC, Janet (Gary) Foster, Dale City, VA and Walter (Phyllis) Baer, Apollo, PA. She was predeceased by her siblings, Betty Beatty, Samuel Baer, and Leona Devecka.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, 11;00am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Ave, Penndel, PA 19047. Interment will be at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Friends may call 10-11:00am at the Church.

The family would like to say special thanks to all the staff at Legacy Gardens for their care, love and support of Gladys for the past 18 months.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gladys’ name may be sent to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Development Dept,3401 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19047.
