Gerard W Lynch

Gerard W Lynch of Bristol passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Wesley Enhanced Living in Philadelphia.

Born in Scranton, Gerard was a longtime resident of Bristol before retiring to Tripp Lake in Susquehanna County, a place he dearly loved.

He was a past member of St Augustine Church and currently a member of St Mark Church, The American Legion, VFW, and a 50 year member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Michael Dougherty Div. 1. Gerard was a 1950 graduate of the University of Scranton and proudly served in the US Navy, during WWII.

He retired from James D Morrissey Construction as an Operating Engineer. Gerard was a 62 year member of the IUOE Local 542.

Preceded in death by his wife Theresa (Durkin), granddaughter Melissa Chamberlain, parents Walter and Dorothy, and brother Jack, he is survived by his children Dorothy (Jack Nelson), Gerard, Michael (Donna McLaughlin),Patricia Chamberlain (Jeff), Marie (Tom Harrington) and Helen Romano (Tony).

He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Michael Chamberlain (Natalie), Lauren Lynch, Brynn Lynch, great-grandchildren Kylie and Mia Chamberlain and his sister Mary Lynch.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 10:30am at St Mark Chuch, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol PA 19007. Interment will be held privately. Friends may call Thursday morning 9:30am until time of Mass at the Church.
