Gerald E. Slager

Gerald E. Slager passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Lower Bucks Hospital. He was 90. Born in Canada, he was a Tullytown resident for many years. Mr. Slager was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in WWII. Gerald E. Slager was a successful building contractor and owner of G. Slager and Sons. Early on, he imparted his love for carpentry and the trade to his sons, who followed in his footsteps. After retirement, he enjoyed golfing.

Predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Georgene (Kline) Slager, and his son, George K. Slager, he is survived by his children, Bruce E. Slager and his wife, Ronda, Jerry M. Slager and his wife, Karen, Christopher D. Slager and his wife, Katie, and Michele Gelber and her companion, Paris, his grandchildren, Adam (Anna), Bruce (Michelle), Ryan (Allison), Julie (Kent), Rachel (Sean), and Tyler and 7 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ben, Emily, Jack, George, Bella, and Ruby. He is also survived by his devoted caregiver and companion, Rita Mathias, his sister Patricia, and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Harry, Paul, Ethel, and Caroline.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, 11:00am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, Tullytown Cemetery. Friends may call 9-10:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
