Gerald J. McCarry

Gerald J. McCarry passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016 at Aria Health, Torresdale. He was 66. Born in Bristol Borough, son of the late Gerald D. and Arabelle Barrett McCarry, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. McCarry was a graduate of Bristol High School and Penn State University. He recently retired after many years of service from Arkema Inc. in Bristol, where he was Wage Committee Chairman and recording secretary for the United Steel Workers, Local 88G. He was a very active member of the Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation, where he was a longtime board member and served several years as president. He was instrumental in planning Historic Bristol Day every year along with many other BCHF activities. Mr. McCarry was also a member of St. Mark Church.

He is survived by his 2 sisters; Elizabeth Fisher and Catherine McCarry, his nephew and nieces; Barry Fisher, Kathy Krieger and Beth Fisher, great-nephews and great-niece, Marine Lance Corporal, Brandon Krieger, Andrew Stillman and Tara Girton and 1 great-great nephew, Mason Krieger. He is also survived by his beloved girlfriend, Geri Cole.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday, July 8, 2016, 10:00am at St. Mark Church. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening 7-9:00pm and Friday morning 9-9:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Str., Bristol, Pa 19007.
