Fred A. Garrett

Fred A. Garrett passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home, Philadelphia. He was 88. Born in Wilmington, NC, son of the late Walter and Edna Berry Garrett, he resided in the Kenwood section of Levittown for over 50 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in WWII and retired after 30 years of service from Johnson Controls and worked for several years at Boscov's in Levittown after his retirement. Mr. Garrett enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to a Bridge club, pool, horse shoes, basketball with the neighborhood kids and going to the Atlantic City Casinos. He was an avid Flyers fan and traveled the United States on bus trips.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Viola Moore Garrett, his children; Paul Garrett (Heather), Deborah Garrett (John), and Tracey Hoover (Allen). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, 12Noon at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment , Tullytown Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-12 Noon at the funeral home.
