Anne J. Andrews

Anne J. Andrews of Bristol Borough passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was 100 years old.  Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa., daughter of the late Guglielmo and Francesa Benedetti, she has been a Bristol Borough resident since 1952.  Mrs. Andrews retired as a receptionist from the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and prior to that was owner/operator of Anne's Candy Store on Lincoln Avenue in Bristol from the mid 50's to the mid 70's.  She enjoyed making homemade raviolis, cheesebread on Good Friday  and Italian sandwiches for whoever stopped by. Her hobbies were making afghans, crossword puzzles, drawing, letter writing and trips to the casinos.  

Wife of the late Edward Andrews, she is survived by her children, Edward Andrews and his wife, Roseanne, Tom Andrews and his wife, Linda, and Anne Andrews and her husband, Hank Markosian.  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Edward (Fay), Patrick (Amy), Kevin, Matthew (Aarti), Lauren, and Patrick and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Colin, Alyssa, Sean and Neel along with many nieces and nephews.  She was also predeceased by her brothers, Dominick, Richard, John and Elmer Benedetti and sisters, Viola Vitale, and Ida Ferrell.  

Anne loved her home on Lincoln Ave and all the good friends and neighbors she had throughout the years. Special thanks to Bayada and Crossroads staff and her loving caregivers Terry, Kelly, Aimee and April.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 13, 2018, 10:00am at St. Ann Church, Bristol Borough.  Interment, Bristol Cemetery.  Friends may call Wednesday evening 7-9:00pm and Thursday morning 8:30-9:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to her great niece Lily's fund.  Lily Stroud Irrv Donation Trust, Chase Bank, P.O. Box 36520, Louisville, Ky  40233-6520.  Lily inherited P.U.R.A. a very rare  genetic neurodevelopmental disorder.
