Anna Henry passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 85. Born in Paoli, Pa., she was a Levittown resident for 51 years, prior to moving to Twining Village in Holland, 7 years ago. Anna graduated from Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed all activities at Twining Manor, i.e., movies, Bingo, cards and had many friends there, but most especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren , car rides, lunches out, and visiting in her room with them. Anna made a career of taking care of others; her 7 children, taking care of her own mother who lived to be 102, working in the ER and Community Education at Delaware Valley Medical Center in Bristol, switching over to working in long-term care at Crestview in Langhorne and began working in longterm nursing care at D'Youville Manor. She worked as a Nurse into her early 70's before retiring. Anna had blue eyes that danced and a twinkle in her eye when she was up to mischief. She had a contagious laugh that made you always feel better. Her smile made you feel at ease. Anna was a great listener with lots of wisdom. She was 100% Irish - first generation born in the United States. Her Mom and Dad were born in Ireland and immigrated to the U.S. She loved dogs.
Beloved wife of the late Paul M. Henry, she is survived by her 7 children; Paul Henry and his wife, Maribeth, Tom Henry, Betty Ann Crist, Patricia Unrath, Diane Talamo, Mark Henry and his wife, Eileen, and Marie Lionetti and her husband, Terrence, 12 grandchildren; Ryan Henry, Beth Ann McDonald (Michael), Martin Peltz, Aric Unrath, Michael, Kevin, and Jessica Talamo, William, Megan and Erin Henry, and Seth and Katherine Lionetti, 2 great-grand-daughters, Harper and Alexandra, along with 1 sister-in-law, Barbara Steslow and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 12, 2015, 11:00am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, Pa. Interment, private. Friends may call 9:30-10:45am at the Church. Donations in Anna's memory can be made to: Twining Village Benevolent Care Fund, 1400 Old Jordan Road, Holland, PA, 18966. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
